The best corporate Christmas gift EVER!

Sara Hedstrom Pinnell is a long-time friend and client. The owner of Hedstrom Design, a great downtown landscape architecture firm, she obviously is very creative. But this time, she really knocked our socks off!

Cookie me!

Friday at almost closing time, she showed up at our office in the historic Miller’s Building with these adorable cookies — each in the likeness of one of our staff members! Seems she had engaged Peggy Hambright of Magpies bakery to craft the edibles in our images based on the little avatars we have on our website! (Click here to see those.)

We had a blast posing with them! Nobody ate theirs — at least by the close of business. I heard some talk about shellacking them.

But in any case, thanks SO MUCH to Sara and our other friends at Hedstrom Design. And to Peggy and her talented staff at Magpies!

Creative Director Charley Sexton gets a chuckle. He almost ate his, but the desire to show his little daughters made him hold off!

Here's Michelle Henry, who will get hers Monday, as well.

Footnote: We realize that three of our staff — Tami Hartmann, Christine Bieniek, and Amy Foster — haven’t gotten their avatars on our website for various reasons. But, not to worry, as soon as we get them up there, we are going to engage Peggy at Magpies to make cookie versions of them, as well. And we’ll post them on the blog when we get them. (Don’t panic, Peggy! We won’t do that before Christmas!)

These cookies were so fun! The girls loved the “daddy cookie”! I think Linnie may have liked it more than them.

What fun! Magpies did my granddaughter’s 13th birthday cake (her own specially drawn design). Magpies rocks — and so does Sara Hedstrom for the thinking of this.

What a creative idea! I was so surprised when I got it. It will be hard to eat because I want to show it off to everyone.
